I didn’t get to include all of the choices for dialogue or different story elements that I had initially planned due to time constraints, but aside from that I am actually quite happy with this project. I was unsure of its direction while I was in the middle of my work, and with all my other assignments due on the same day as this one it felt as thought this project would never be done.
My favorite part was honestly the gif making. I really enjoyed doing not only the little drawings for them but also assembling them. They gave me a unique sense of accomplishment. Although they were composed of lower-effort drawings when compared to the time that I put into other pieces, I enjoyed seeing them as quick little animations that I could feel proud of. Additionally, I appreciate being able to leave this project with a new skill that I can use for future art projects, as I never would have really thought to make gifs of my own prior to this assignment.
It was also a unique way for me to visualize an idea I initially intended to storyboard as a comic. I’m curious to see how this initial brainstorm will affect this story’s final form.
