I wrote this as my first initial brainstorm a couple of weeks ago:

Yesterday, I took a nap. I have been working quite hard recently and I have had little time in between classes and tasks, so when normally I would have found something to do, I laid down. For a while my mind raced, but eventually it went quiet and before I knew it I had fallen asleep. It was a light sleep, though. I still felt a little bit conscious and thoughts still came and left, but at the time I was so very busy and distressed that each of my stressors and problems tended to make an appearance even when I shut my eyes to rest.

I would like to make my project centered around creative burnout, anxiety surrounding deadlines, and getting all my daily tasks done. I plan to use this nap narrative as my animation to real life transition. In terms of subject matter, I thought about utilizing metaphors for the things that were stressing me out, and having them overlap and build up to a climax just before waking me again. Ideally I would prefer to hand-draw most of this animation, however that may be too time consuming for the scope of this project. I do not know that incorporating after effects in some of the dream scenes throughout would be too much of a challenge though.
